Phoenix Physicians, LLC is an emergency department management company that is headquartered in Durham, NC, with satellite offices located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Toledo, Ohio and Denville, NJ. In Fort Lauderdale, Phoenix provided services for the North Broward Hospital District such as the recruitment and retention of the finest emergency department physicians, as well as the implementation of innovative solutions to improve overcrowding, patient satisfaction and performance.
Boardroom Communications cultivated an effective media relations campaign for Phoenix that stimulated the interest of the media in the medical industry, positioned Phoenix doctors as experts in their field and responded to current events and trends in the medical industry. We also had the goal of increasing the company's client base in South Florida and beyond.

Skin & Cancer Associates of South Florida
The Challenge: Skin and Cancer Associates is a dermatology practice focusing on skin cancer treatment and all diseases of the skin, hair and nails. The practice includes 22 board-certified physicians and has 15 offices spanning Broward, Dade, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie and Leon Counties. In addition, Skin and Cancer Associates' board-certified dermatologists make up the Center for Cosmetic Enhancement, which offers cosmetic procedures, focusing on laser hair transplants, non-invasive facial rejuvenating procedures, skin peels and laser resurfacing.
Boardroom's goal was to create a full-scale media campaign with both advertising and public relations, focusing on the practice's expertise in cosmetic dermatology.
Our strategy: We were able to achieve this goal by creating a highly focused integrated advertising and direct mail campaign that dovetailed with an aggressive public relations plan to form a very comprehensive and successful media strategy. The media coverage and name recognition achieved for Skin and Cancer Associates has been continually outstanding.
Results: By utilizing both advertising and public relations in our full-scale campaign, we have been able to increase awareness of the doctors and have improved traffic into the office. Skin and Cancer Associates is the largest dermatology practice in Florida, and has been named "Best Dermatology Group Practice in South Florida" by Florida Medical Business. The media Boardroom has generated for the practice helped position it for this most worthy honor.
