Katie Ward
KATIE WARD, Public Relations Coordinator, is skilled in public relations, social media, copywriting and event planning. She currently works with clients in the non-profit and legal sectors.
Prior to joining Boardroom, Katie was an intern with WPBT Channel 2 in Miami where she drafted press materials and newsletter copy.
Katie also prepared marketing materials and assisted in creative design for the University of Florida’s Tobacco Free campaign while interning with UF’s university relations department. In addition, she managed social media forums and coordinated events for the campaign.
She also served as Vice President of Advertising for ACCENT, a student-run speaker’s bureau bringing prominent and influential speakers to the University of Florida. She helped promote campus events and handled advertising items to increase event attendance.
Katie graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida, with a minor in environmental science sustainability studies.
