Aventura, FL -- Boardroom Communications COO, Don Silver, spoke at the recent South Florida Healthcare Executive Forum Inc.'s (SFHEF) Employing Social Media to Build Customer Satisfaction and Community Outreach panel.
The event took place at Aventura Hospital's Biscayne Medical Arts Center. Attendees were invited to a facility tour followed by a panel discussion. Silver, who has more than 25 years of public relations and marketing management experience, discussed best practices of public relations through traditional and social media. He emphasized the importance of online branding, including online advertising, email marketing, and effective use of social media and blogs.
The panelists also included Diane High, Manager Publications and Websites at Broward Health, Sara M. Howley, Vice President, Corporate Communications, Marketing & Grants at Broward Health, and Hugo Ottolenghi, President at Ottolenghi LLC. The panel's audience was primarily hospital and health care executives and moderated by South Florida Hospital News and Healthcare Publisher, Charles Felix.
The SFHEF, an affiliate chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), draws the attention of south Florida healthcare executives by providing opportunities for personal and professional development through educational and social activities. The ACHE is an international professional society of more than 30,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations. The organization is known for its prestigious credentialing and educational programs.
